Hello everybody.

I’m a professor of economics at Royal Holloway College which is part of the University of London.  I teach a course called the “Economics of Warfare” and do quantitative research on war.  A particular mission of mine is to get people to think about where war numbers come from, how they are presented and what they mean.  An important part of this agenda is analyzing how these numbers are manipulated and distorted.  This turns out to be both fun and a public service although it can also be frustrating.
